Paradise Datacom, an Intelek company, is focused on the design, manufacturing and sale of satellite modems, solid state power amplifiers (SSPA), low noise amplifiers (LNA), block up converters (BUC) and associated redundancy subsystems. Paradise Datacom has delivered products and subsystems for use in satellite communications systems to an extensive list of customers located around the world.

The managers and engineers of Paradise Datacom have unparalleled experience in the production, sale and distribution of satellite communications products. Senior members of the Paradise Datacom engineering and management team received their training and experience from the companies that pioneered the satcom industry including Scientific Atlanta, VertexRSI, Radyne/Comstream, Comtech/EF Data, EEV and ViaSat. Engineering excellence and management’s commitment to our customer’s requirements are the core values that Paradise Datacom has been built on, and to which we constantly reaffirm with every new customer.

Paradise Datacom Background

Paradise Datacom Ltd. was founded in 1989 in the United Kingdom, specialized in the design and manufacture of IBS/IDR framing units and later produced a full line of satellite modems. Paradise Datacom LLC was founded in 1997 in the United States, and acquired the Locus Communications products group of ITT, with history in Satellite Communications Engineering dating back to 1968. Paradise Datacom also acquired the SierraCom VSAT product line in 2002. Paradise Datacom is a member of the Intelek group of companies, which supplies leading edge technologies to the world’s electronics and aerospace markets.

Paradise Datacom Qualifications

Paradise Datacom’s primary role is that of a premier supplier of satellite communications products and subsystems designed and manufactured by Paradise Datacom in our UK and US factories Our engineers are constantly seeking the latest technologies and processes resulting in the highest power solid state amplifiers packaged in the smallest and lightest packages and satellite modems that possess feature such as imbedded diagnostics tools that allow “in system” tests to be performed from virtually any location in the world.

Paradise Datacom presently occupies 22,000 square feet of office, laboratory, and factory space in State College. This factory located in Innovation Park, adjacent to Penn State University, produces our extensive line of RF products. This facility houses engineering offices, documentation services, laboratories, training rooms, service department, manufacturing and assembly areas. Wired for the wide range of international power requirements, the facility is equipped to handle any system configuration.

A second facility located in Witham, UK consists of over 43,000 square feet dedicated to the design and manufacture of digital communications products such as our P300 series of satellite modems as well as our new Evolution Series high data rate modems and associated redundancy switching products.

Our latest facility, located in Atlanta, Georgia is currently being tooled to produce our satellite modem products. This will allow us to better serve our US-based customers through shorter lead times and faster support.
