Block Up Converters & BUC Plate Assemblies

The Paradise Datacom 31C and 31K Series of L Band to C- and Ku-Band Block Up Converters offer a wide array of choices to configure VSAT uplink terminals. Output power levels include 10 and 20W in C-Band and 4, 8 and 10W in Ku-Band.

Internal Phase Locked Local Oscillator provides excellent phase noise when locked to an external 10 MHz reference. The BUC can be powered by a separate 48 VDC input or by the IFL via the coaxial input.

The coaxial IFL input can carry the L Band block (950-1525 MHz in C-Band and 950-1450 MHz in Ku-Band), 10 MHz reference, 48 VDC, and an optional 650 KHz FSK monitor and control signal.

The addition of a Bias Tee allows a 10 Watt or 20 Watt C-Band BUC and a 8 Watt or 10 Watt Ku-Band BUC to be powered through the IF cable. The Bias Tee is capable of handling operating currents of up to 6 Amps at 48 VDC.

The Paradise Datacom family of VSAT products can be configured in a variety of custom systems to meet any redundant system application. VSAT redundant systems can be configured to meet any output power level from 2W to 100W in Ku-Band or 5W to 170W in C-Band. Creative application of the versatile RCPD-1100 system controller enables redundant system designs that provide the highest levels of system reliability while remaining cost effective.
