Welcome to the third edition of Paradise Datacom's
UPLINK newsletter, an e-mail publication dedicated to
providing our customers with applications-based information
relevant to the interests of both architects and users of
satellite communications systems.
Reliable communications is nowhere more vital than in
the military theater where commanding officers require
real-time situational awareness to effectively command
missions with minimal risk. Paradise Datacom’s Solid State

SSPAs Take Command for

The overall product
reliability, performance and flexibility of SSPAs over
traditional Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) have been
well documented in the commercial marketplace. But military
satellite communications requirements are often even more
demanding requiring uninterrupted transmit and receive
capability in harsh and changing environments. Our latest

New Versatile Multiplexer
(VMUX) Modems Offer Reliability, Performance and
Flexibility
 Paradise Datacom’s newest Versatile Multiplexer
(VMUX) modem combines traditional satellite modem interface
connectivity options with commonly used analog voice, STU and
STE physical interfaces in a single neat chassis to provide
the maximum communications functionality possible from a
satellite modem available on the market today. Military users
will benefit from the VMUX modem’s multiplexer technology from
Vocality International that offers a unique solution to remote
tactical VSAT requirements.
